You are invited to a special OTS meeting that will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022.  We are excited to announce that our speaker for this meeting will be Dr. Michael Charlton, a Professor of Medicine and the Medical Director of the liver transplant program at the University of Chicago Medicine.

The topic of this meeting will be Liver Transplantation in 2022 - Emerging Trends. Dr. Charlton will discuss new developments in indicators, outcomes and allocations in liver transplantation. There is exciting news in liver transplantation in the future!

Michael Charlton, MBBS, is an internationally renowned specialist in lliver disease and transplant medicine. Listed among "America's Top Doctors" and "Best Doctors in America," Dr. Charlton has particular expertise in the diagnosis, treatment and management of  nonalchoholic fatty liver disease (nonalcoholic steatohepatitis) and viral hepatitis.
Dr. Charlton was one of the physicians leaders of the transplant care team that made history in December 2018 after performing two triple-organ transplants within 27 hours, replacing the failing hearts, livers and kidneys of 29-year-olds Sarah McPharlin and Daru Smith.
