My Transplant Story - Chad Ziesemer - 4 Time Kidney Recipient
Chad Ziesemer is now 44 years old, and he has been dealing with different medical problems for most of his life. Chad has undergone over 30 surgeries starting with his first kidney transplant at the age of 7. This amazing man is now living with his 4th kidney transplant, and he has a positive attitude about his life and the future. He is in the process of writing a book about his transplant journey, titled: Live, Love and Never Look Back. Here is Chad’s transplant story in his own words:

March Meeting Recap: 1st Successful 3D Printed Mini Human Heart
At the OTS meeting that was held on March 6, 2020 we learned about the latest advances in transplantation - bioprinting of human organs for transplants. The speakers for this meeting were Mr. Steven Morris and Kate Lewis from BIOLIFE4D, a biotech company with headquarters in Lincolnshire, Illinois. The motto of BIOLIFE4D is “Build a Heart, Save a Life.”

David went to heaven on February 13, 2020. He was at the ICU at Northwestern and I was so fortunate to have been able to visit him about 10 days prior. According to UNOS, the United Network for Organ Sharing, the number of people across the country who chose to save a life through organ donation is higher than ever. The number of organ transplants that were performed in 2019 are at an all-time high.
Happy 30th Anniversary OTS! 1990 - 2020
This year in 2020 Organ Transplant Support, Inc. will celebrate the 30th anniversary of our non-profit organization. Organ Transplant Support (OTS) was formed in the summer of 1990 by Don and Rose LaRocco and Bill and Sally Phillips. Don and Bill were both transplant recipients.
Transplant Games to Promote Organ Donation Awareness
Every two years, thousands of organ, cornea and tissue transplant recipients, living donors, donor families and their supporters gather for a multi-day sports and awareness festival to celebrate life and shine a light on the national need for more organ donation. The next Donate Life Transplant Games is scheduled to take place July 17-22, 2020 in the Meadowlands, N.J. It is run by Transplant Life Foundation based in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
