The next OTS educational/support meeting will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026.   This meeting will be held on Zoom, starting at 7pm CST.  The speaker for this meeting will be Ms. Sarah Wieber, who is with the Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network.    Sarah will present a program about Writing to Your Donor Family:  Understanding the Donor Letter Process.  

Sarah Wieber is a Supervisor of Donor Family Services at the Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network, where she leads a team supporting donor families through grief and honoring their loved one’s legacies.   She holds a Master of Social Work, a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology, and is a licensed social worker and Certified Grief Educator. 

Through her work supporting donor families and facilitating connections with transplant recipients, Sarah understands the emotion and meaning behind correspondence.   She offers a compassionate perspective on writing to donor families, helping recipients feel more comfortable sharing their stories and expressing gratitude in their own words.  

This OTS meeting is important for all transplant recipients, from newly transplanted to those who received their transplant years ago.  We will send the Zoom login info the day before this meeting.
