OTS Educational Meeting

Please join us for the OTS educational meeting that will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026.  This meeting will be held on Zoom, starting at 7:00PM Central time.  Our speaker for this meeting will be Ms. Alison Conklin, a heart transplant recipient, photographer and writer.

For this meeting, Alison Conklin will share her personal journey of living with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy from childhood through heart transplantation in 2022. She will speak about the emotional and practical realities of life after transplant, including navigating uncertainty, finding meaning in recovery, and building a life that honors the gift of a donor. Alison will also talk about creating Bonus Days Magazine, a publication dedicated to sharing stories from transplant recipients, donor families, caregivers, and medical professionals. Through storytelling and community, her work aims to help patients feel less alone while celebrating the resilience that can grow from life-altering illness.
